Profile: A large Research University in the Southern United States was in search of a capable partner to rescue an Identity and Access Management implementation that had gone "off the rails." Finding CIS based on our team's incredible reputation, the University's IT team shared their current state and desired end-state with CIS, and the team dug in to craft a solution to bridge the gulf in between.
Technical Challenge: As with many Identity initiatives, this project resolved a number of internal challenges, both technical and business-process related. CIS was asked to rebuild the foundation of the Identity system, while upgrading to the most current stable version of the product, and to create application drivers for several key systems throughout the University and affiliated Medical organization.
Solution: CIS architected and executed an elegant solution to provide this University with a robust, fully functional, optimized system for the processing and provisioning of Student, Faculty, and Staff identities, with custom workflow and driver creation to allow connection to both on-premises and cloud-based 3rd party applications. This was achieved through participation from numerous departments and teams throughout the University working with CIS' experts to properly define a successful engagement, and execute the plan efficiently and effectively.
